Winter, 2012

Still in Ottawa ...

Well, the surprise at the end of our summer and fall in Ottawa, was the discovery that my slow growing neuroendocrine tumors have turned aggressive and become candidates for chemotherapy. So, my winter will be spent in Ottawa.

After my first round of chemo, we jetted off to Fort Lauderdale to board the Oasis of the Seas, the largest cruise ship so far, and we set sail for a week in the eastern Caribbean. The first day on the ship, Louise's son Patrick married his fiancée, Cara.

The wedding took place at about 3 pm in the Pinnacle Chapel on the 17th Deck of the Oasis of the Seas, while the ship was still tied up in Fort Lauderdale, hence legally in the State of Florida.

The next morning we were in Nassau, the Bahamas, and the next in Charlotte Amelie, St. Thomas.
